RECEIPTS ARE FALLING OFF Corn Specialists Who Are Bullish Are Paying; Little Attention tit he Prediction of Lib eral Receipts. OMAHA, Dec 4, 1912 Conditions and clrcumatnnron atirroitnd Ing the wheat market point to n forctd advance In the near future. The big holders of the May option at Chicago not only control the cash wheat in that market, but they own large quantities at many other points. Stocks of wheat are large, out receipts are falling ott and thn fact that the hull combination controls the cash and May gives them an undisputed grip on the market. For several days past the May option hah been absorbed quickly around 'tho W-cent level. Those who have taken care of this wheat as rapidly as It was thrown overboard have refused to bid up for It, but have allowed those who were desir ous of making the sales to come to the front and show their hands. Recetnta of wheat at primary markets yesterday was 400,000 bushels smaller than a week ago and northwestern receipts were nearly 300 cars lighter than for the cor responding day last week. The arrivals were liberal, however, but the signs of time point to a further falling off. Cash wheat was He higher. There Is a hlg open Interest in May corn, and as both factions are full of fight and are well backed financially a battle royal Is among the possibilities, unless tho receipts from tho country should eollpao all expectations. Corn spe cialists who are bullish aro paying little attention to predictions of liberal re ceipts, as they believe that all will be wanted. The position of December corn purzles the trade In general. More hoga wero disponed of on apeculatlvo account than on Tuesday, most of such sales be ing at a nuiga of $7.557.60. Some ot tho packer buyers also filled n few orders on the Hiimn basis, but their buying In that way did not last long, as they saw an opportunity of getting their hogs cheaper. From that time on all the packer buyer turned bearH and as a result trade grad ually eased off, hogn still In first hands eventually having to sell at prices any where from weak to a much as a nickel lower than yesterday's general maiket In tho end the majority of the packing droves was put up at figures around $7,50 67.55, with a few at $7.60. In other words the h!k of nil the miles made was nt about the same range as on yes terday, thus making the general trad about steady or neurlv so The highest pulflt waa tnaihed durlnf the early ma'- kr.t, when several loads sold up to !7.K, Identical with Hie top ptlco yestrda. First butlnejs was active, but as the morning advanced trade became onlv fairly active with a clearance of Prac tically everything In good season. while the supply was liberal compared with a week ago and two weeks ago. It waa little. It any larger than on the cor responding day last year. The receipts, according to early estimates, footed up nbout U2 cars, or 12,700 head, as against 11.751 head last Wednesday, 10.919 head two weeks ago and 12,83- head on the same day a year ago. For the first three days of the week receipts show ntt Increase over a week ago, two weeks ago and a Sear ago, the supply for those days amounting In round numbers to about r.s.Cx'O hend, as against 32.000 head for tho same lime last week, .12,000 head two weeks ago and 29.000 head a year ago SHBWP A very fair run ot lambs and alieep arrived for this time of the year, as the supply was considerably large'' than a year ago and a week ago, but nbout the sumn as two wotks ago. About twenty cars of rango stuff, most of which were feeders, wero Included In today's receipts, The remainder of the supply waa comprised for thn most part of fed westerns, them being only a small sprinkling of native slock offered. Conditions surrounding the early trade were In marked contrast to the early market yesterday, as mostly II tho buyers apparently wanted what killing and sheep lambs were In sight and eventually paid prices generally stendv to strong for their purchases. Among the sales were a couple of loads of fed west ern lambs iwernglng around R pounds that sold at 17.30 and a bunch ot fed. owes which brought $4.03. Tht movement was active and anything at nil deslrabln on the killing order was cleared compar atively early In the forenoon. Tho slight improvement on Kinera was reflected 111 the feeder division, both tho useful feeder amb and sheep offerings changing hands n very good season. There continues to be a good healthy demand for desirable feeders ami a strong unaenone to pre vailing prices. About twenty cam ot range atock from Wyoming were sold before appearing at the yards and out. side of this shipment thero were- not a, grtat many other feeders on the market. Included In the shipment were, some year ling wethers that sold up to $5.40 nnd a baud of aged wethora that sold to go to thn country at H.l The meager supply met with a ready sale and trndo on the.
