in tho Wot Karnam street neighborhood, The children enjoyed
tholr fourth annual "ghost walk." A Hallowe'en supper was
given at the homo of Mr. and Miu. C. W. Axtell at 6:30 o'clock, and
m soon as darkenss fell tho children, wrapped in sheots and wearing tall,
black witches' caps opened the doors of their friends' homos and, march
Ins In, cast a spell of good luck over tho household, it candy or sweets of
come kind were not forthcoming, or If thoy were given a wolume. Dut the un
hoBpltablo oivns woll, the children will tell tho naughty boys about them
and loavo Jhem to the mercy of their mischievous pranks. The children,
most of whom are little girls, march In to tho houses and arpund the dining
room table, or whorevor the family Is assembled, and then quietly disappear.
I Tho little girls enjoy this kind of a Hallowe'en celebration better than the
throwing of corn and tho screeching tlc-tacs.
