A. ..41120 Larmon Wins Junior Tennis Tournament Russell Larmon, the young Omaha High school tennis champion, won the 1812 city Junior racquet singles title yea terday afternoon by trouncing Norman Potter In straight sets In the finals of the Junior tournament at the Field club courts. Thn score waa 8-7, 8-2, 6-3. Larmon played a steady game, resorting to lobbing frequently, while Potter used various kinds of shots, his lawford play being especially strong in the first set. Neither player was credited with many double faults. . The first set was easily the feature of the match and lasted sixteen games. many of them deuce affairs. Larmon would have the advantage by one frema, only to relax tor a few minutes and allow Potter to bring the tax up to an even number of games-all. With the marks 7-all, Larmon rushed his opponent, forc ing nets and out by his consistent slash ing volleys and back court drives. The last two games of the set furnished the gallery on hand plenty of interesting fea tures, as . Larmon had to oavort about the court with considerable agility be fore he 'could land the necessary number of points.
