"McAdams was easy picking for the
Rourket yesterday. They hammered htm
all over the park for a total of thirteen
tilts, took advantage of Denver's poor
playing and copped the second game of
ithe series by a score of 10 to V
"Mac" started working' In great shape
hnd gave not a semblance of a safety
until the fourth inning, when Pa's ath-,
'ietea landed on him with both feet.
(When the smoke had rolled away Omaha
lAd pocketed the game with four runs
oft;flve hits.
' For the Rourkes Hall came out of his
slump and hurled great ball until the
game was cinched; then he let up. How
ever, he did not give to such an extent
that the Grizzlies could get a run until
,he final Inning, when Jack Hendricks'
gang managed to sneak one across.
Every member of the Rourke squad
managed to get a hit with the excep
tion of Justice. Thomason captured the
batting honors with three hits In four
,tlmea up. Kane got two, one of which
waa a home run. This came In the sev
enth with the bases full. For the Orls
lles McAdams was the star with the
iStick, securing two hits in three times
up.
Gllmore Ilenrta Off On.
Grover Gilmore robbed Omaha of a
run in the fifth Inning with a pretty
peg. Thomason was on third base and
only one was out when Kane slammed
one to deep left Gllmore speared the

Motes of the Game.
The third game of the series today.
Those two double plays euro did look
good to the fans. .
Well, the learn crawled a few notches
closer to first place.
Justice went to third from first on a
sacritice In the first Inning. ,
For a while it looked as if J. Pluvlus
would take a hand in the proceedings.
Barney Schrelber is slated to work
against Carl Kobinson In this afternoon's
game.
Too bad Kane could not have saved that
homer for today when It would come In
liandier.
Eddie Justice played grand game at
.short. True, he made an error, but he
'made up for It
J awn BeaD seems to have taken a
slump in his batting. Three time up and
' lio chance for a hit.
Hall's arm seems to have mended itr
teif In fine shape and he will be ready
to take his turn again..
Hendricks refused to take McAdams
from the game, figuring he would need
Schrelber and Leonard more today and
tomorrow.

COLUMBUS, Neb., Aug. 13.-(Special
Telegram.) Bacom broke up the game
here today with a long two-base hit In
the seventh Inning, scoring two men. It
was a fast -and well played game and
was a hurlers' duel throughout between
Rainey and Plympton, the new Pawnee
twirler, In which the latter had the
better of the argument. Plympton pitched
a great game, striking out seven, and did
not walk a man, and after the second
Inning he held Fremont helpless, only
one man getting as far as second base.
Rainey weakened In the seventh and
hit, Metz, who made second on Hargis'
out, and went to third when Nelson hit
one too hot to handle. Bacom was there
in the pinche and scored both runners
with, a long two-base drive, and won the
game. Score: R.H.E.
