week. They will make a day of It, taking-

Mrs. J. M. Metcalf, who enjoys long
motor trips In her stunning blue car. Is
planning to take a party to Lake Okobojl
this week. With her will be Mrs. Charles
B." Keller, Mrs. Rebe Morgan and Miss
Nellie Wakeley. They will go ly war

night, and will return by a different

by motor from Lake Okobojl, where they
had spent a week, having gone there In

attractive daughters of Senator and Mrs.
Norrls Brown,' who have arrived to make
Omaha their home. Both young women
attended the University of Nebraska And
are members of PI Beta Phi sorority.

with their parents in Washington, D. C.
Mr. Brown has bought the beautiful
Carmichael home In Dundee.
Are Cool la Iceland.
Misses Qlga and Louise Storx, who left
several months ago for an extended trip
'around the world, 'are now In Iceland.
They write from Reykjavik: "It's mighty
eold up here, but we are having a grand
trip. They spent some time In Germany,
Norway and Bweden and are expected
home this fall. (

two weeks.

In the Army and Navy appears the an
nouncement of the marriage of Sirs.
Mary Dandy Dean, daughter of the late
General George B. Dandy, United States
army, to Mrs. Edwin Prall Campbell of
New York. Mrs. Dean, as Miss Dandy,
made her debut In Omaha, where her
father was stationed at that time and
where she became well known for her
beauty and wit It was here also that
she married Captain James Dean in 1S97.
About three years ago Mrs. Dean ob
tained a divorce from Captain Dean and
since then has made her home in New
York, where her father lived after the
retirement ana where he died a year or
so ago.

northern Wisconsin on a fishing trip.
Mrs. Herbert Gates leaves Wednesday
to Join a party of New York friends In
Denver and with them will make the
trips to Pike's Peak and Cripple Creek
and over the Moffat road and will return
to Omaha the latter part of the month for
. a short time before going to New York
for the winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamilton are plan
ning a long bunting trip in Wyoming
around Jackson's Hole. They will leave
August IS and will be joined by Miss
, May Hamilton, who is at present at Lake
Louise In the Canadian Rockies.
Mrs. Thomas Kilpatrick plans to leave
Wednesday to Join her daughter, Mrs.
George MIxter, at Lake Placid in the
Adirondack.
Joined by Mrs. Wattles' sister. Mrs. Mo-
Hugh of Sioux City, and Mr. McHugh,
with whom they will tour the Adiron-

Mrs. A 6. Carlisle and children left to
day for Valhalla, Minn,, to be gone sev

are In the Yellowstone. They will be
gone three weeks and expects to visit

Mr. Nathan Merrlam and Miss Mer

place at Mackinac Friday to Join his wife
and family. Mrs. Burgess will also join

Mrs. Augustus Koiihtie of New York will

Miss Marie MJkova, the Omaha pianist,
will leave for Paris next week, going
there to continue her studies. She ex
pects to be absent a year and a half.
She will be accompanied as far as New

they will spend a month as guests or Mr.
