-Umpire Meyers called the game In the
seventh Inning today on account of rain
tnd darkness, with the OrUillea leading
Swith ten runs to Omaha six. Manager
jKrbogast protested, saying It had been
Vaining all through the game and there
was no cause for its being called. The
crowd jeered the umpire and wanted to
continue.
When the game was called It, was not
; earning as hard as at the start. Meyer
hould have called the game off before
it started. The grounds at the time the
game was called off were not In bad
jehape. Meyers did not call time and
then wait thirty minutes as required by
the rules, but called it off entirely. 8ome
