HOME-MADE AEROPLANE
TO BE TRIED THIS WEEK
The new Coleman-Lochv biplane, an air
craft deslgried'and constructed in Omaha,
will be given its initial tryout either
Friday or- Saturday : afternoon of this
week on the Aviation farm west of Pa
plllion. Glenn Turner, the local lfc-year-old
bird man, who made a successful
flight in a Coleman-Loch machine on
July 27 at Papilllon, will make the flight
A feature of the, ne biplane is an os
cillating wing control which is regulated
by a series of pulleys. Tha machine is
built to carry, aa high aa a, 100 horse
power engine and has ample room for two
passengers In addition to the aviator. It
Is somewhat similar to the biplane ex
hibited by R. F. Coleman at the Ak-Sar-Ben
carnival last fall..
Coleman and Turner have a modern
equipped aeroplane workshop on ' the
third floor at 117 North Sixteenth street.
They expect to go on the road shortly
for a series of exhibition .flights in Ne
braska and Iowa. '

tions were first opened for a game be
tween the Redskins and the Cornhuskers,
October 36 waa mentioned as the date.
The Haskell Indians bave scheduled a
gsme with Texas university of that date,
however, and as that wasythe only open
date on the Nebraska schedule, further
negotiations were called off.
