I. UNDER THE GRAND8TAND.
By an Ingenious ruse, Desmond suc

from the Olympic athletes, who would
have protected her against the villain.
Under the huge grand stand of the stad

As the heavy hammer leaves
Claude's powerful grip It Is seen to fly
straight for the grandstand. The spec

the missile hurtles' toward them, for It
Is thrown with force enough to send It
through a stone wall. It Is the first time
Claude has ever been known to make a
foul throw, and there Is much wonder
as to the cause of such a slip.
