Rhodes was letting the Kaws down with

! Rightfully Jthodea should have had but'
'three hit chalked-up against him, but
, Rickert managed to-get a freak single
. In the seventh.,, Rhodes had two s trlkes
and two, balls on Rlekert, when he at
" tempted to duck a ball close to htm. ' He
, swung around and the ball lilt his bat,
which was over hla shoulder, and want
;fo light field for a clean single.
In the first inning alone was Topeka
' dangerous, but when Hickory Johnson
slammed the ball over the left field fence
and scored Justice ahead of himself the
Rourke took the lead, which we never
overcome. . .After, the first Rhodes was
the big enigma and. his hoodoo over the
Kaws s.tm proved to be there.
The . Rourkes hammered the ball,
.bunched bits In the fourth and with the
assistance of - three walks and an error
got five runs. Again in the eighth they
started things and with four bits 'sent
three across. ' - .

Kane was' back In hla old position at

him a tittle, but he managed to get
around the bast pretty spry and brought

-. The Kaws scored first, Rlekert opened I
with a stinging double -to center, -went to
third on .Walsh's . out. An, error by
Rhodes on Lee's easy grounddr left Rlek
ert score. Justice .opened, for Omaha with
a single to center. Coyle sacrificed,
Thomason - advanced Justice on his
grounder, Walsh to Gardner. Johnson
sent Justice home and scored himself
' with a clout over the. left boards.
In the , third, wth. one down, Justice
beat out a bunt Coyle followed with the
same kind. Thomason walked and Jus
: tlce scored on a wild pitch.' Johnson was
passed and Coyle was caught trying to
