MAKES BIG BALLY HEAR END Rangers Dob Battlac Togs and Get Eight Safe Ones Off Cratcaer, , Who Weakens Toward ... Last. BT. JOSEPH, Mo.. July S.-(Spe'clal TeU e gram.) Pitcher Hall and his teammate finished strongly In today's came with tha Drummers, and In the late Innings overcame a sight lead which the lacols held, winning 4 to 2. In spite of the fact that errors and battery mlsplays figured largely in nearly all the runs scored by both teams, the contest was a brilliant one and was hard fought The locals took the lead In the first Inning when Kelly was walked, was sacrificed to second, reached third on Johnson's passed ball and scored on Wat son's grounder to Schlpke. The latter's throw had Kelly cut off. but Johnson dropped the ball. Omaha tied it In the sixth when Coyle beat out an Infield hit, reached second when Borton dropped Crutcher's throw to catch Coyle off first and scored on Thomason'! single. The Drummers again forged one to the good in the sixth, when Powell doubled, reached third on a sacrifice and scored on a wild pitch. Then in the seventh the Bourkes forged ahead, scoring two runs. Johnson was hit by a pitched ball. Then successive doubles by Schlpke and Nlehoft scored the two runs. A fourth run was made in the eighth on a hit, two passes and Gossett's error In trying to block a double steal. Tha Drummers were helpless before Hall in the last three innings, five of Hall's strikeouts occurring during these sessions.
