Carl Robinson' remarkable hurling

Des Moines yesterday afternoon. The bif
Rourke twirler pv but four scattered
hits and should have had a shutout, but
four error gave the Hopefuls their two
runs. Score: Omaha 2, Des Molne 2.
The game, although marred by errors,
was a fine one to watch and inside base
bait figured all through the fracas. A
squeeze play after Nlehoff had gotten
to first on a hit, to second on a sacrifice
and stole third, brought In the winning
run. Arbogast, who was handling the
stick. UWdown fins bunt in front of
the plate, and while Nlehoff was sliding
across the pan', beat the bunt out.
Omaha's errors were all costly ones and
both the Des Moines runs figured in.
The first run was scored In the sixth
inning on a single by Hahn who came
across the plate later on an error by
Justice. In the seventh the Des Moines
bunch took the lead when Davidson
dropped Thomas' long fly after' Cool igan
had doubled, thereby letting the latter
romp home. ,
Robinson, however, was the whole noise
with his heady pitching, The big fellow
had the Des Moines bunch on his staff
and deserved the victory he got. Not
bolng satisfied with pitching a good fame,
he came across with a clean hit in the
fifth inning. In this inning the Rourke
managed to get the bases filled on a hit
and -two .walks; but Heuston settled and
got himself out of a bad hole. i,
