Two large weddings eclipse all other social events of the week. The first of these weddings Is that of Miss Miriam Patterson,' daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D, C. Patterson, and Mr. Benjamin Boyce of Chicago. The second Is that of Mis Alice Cary McGrew and Mr. Wilson Austin. The marriage of Miss Patterson and Mr, Boyce will be solemnised Tuesday evening at S o'clock at All Saints ohurch and will be followed by a reception at the Patterson home on North Thirty-eighth ivenue. Rev. T. J. Mackay wll perform the ceremony. Miss Patterson's sister, Miss Eugenie Patterson, Will be her maid of honor and her bridesmaids will be her cousin, Miss Mildred Patterson of Kan sas City, Mr. Boyce's sisters, Miss Happy Boyce and Mlsa Sidney Boyce of Chi rago, and Miss Louise Dinning. The best man wilt be Mr. John M. Smyth of Chicago. Ensign D. C. Mc Carthy, who attends college at Notre: Dame, Tnd., will sail for Europe June 14 to participate in the Olympic games. Mr. McCarthy has won a number of med als in swimming contests In Chicago and the east and he will enter the swimming contests at the Olympic games. Mr. and Mr. H. J. McCarthy leave Saturday for Chicago to spend the week end with their son. Alice Cary McGrew and Her Bridal Attendants , European Travelers. Miss Brandt, accompanied by Master Harkness Kountze, will sail shortly for Europe and will attend the Olympic games in Stockholm. Miss Zola Dellecker will leave Monday, June 1 for the east, where she will take the beat -trip up the St Lawrence and sail for 'Europe from Montreal. She; will land at Liverpool, and from there will tour Englaiid, France, Germany, Holland and Italy. She will sail from Naples about the first of October and land in New ' York. She expects to take the southern trip on her return to Omaha.
