The club had its actual beginning a short time prior to formal organization. In a series) ot noonday luncheons at the Omaha Commercial club, participated In by motor car owners and dealers of the city. These officers were elected at the organisation meeting: 'President, Ole Hibner; vice president. I E. Doty; second vice president, A. H. K amp in eyer; secretary, W. J. Klrkland; treas urer, Eugene Silver. Mr. Hibner and Mr. Kampmeyer have left the city and Charles L. Gould has been elected presi dent and E. W. Roynolds vice president, but otherwise the list ot officers Is the same as at the beginning. The club has for Us object these things: Reasonable and nondiscriminating legis lation governing motoring; encouraging and aiding the construction snd main tenance of food roads; ths erection of slcnboards tor tourists on the highways of Nebraska and adjoining statee; stimu lation of clean motoring by contests; ths promotion and protection ot Its mem bers In other ways. It has also held a number of. successful motor contests, both on track and road.
