th annual banquet of tha republican edi
tors of Indiana. Th speech waa re
garded as a keynote of th administra
tion efforts In launching a country wtd
campaign. Besides th editors, republi
can party leaders from all over the state
attended the banquet.
Senator Brown reviewed at considerable
length what had bean accomplished by
President Tatt and tha republican party
and laid th greatest stress on the
Paytw-Aldrlcb tariff law. railroad regu
lation, direct election of I'nlted State
senators. Income tax amendment, en
forcement of th anti-trust law and
other measure snd th peace treaties.
In discussing ths Payne tariff bill Sena
tor Brown said:
