all branches of the trade was complete,
values remained nominal.
Moderate receipts during the week had
some little buiiisii inrmencn upon tne
mnrket and prices are closing about Io
higher on fat lambs, while fat sheep are
strong to a llttlo higher In spots, as com
pared with quotations a week ago. The
advance In lamhs applies especially to
the good to choice grades, medium stint
showing verv alight Improvement. Strictly
choice liimbs touched $8 00 on two or
three occasions lately and anything sell
ing below lii.iiO was not very respectable.
Toppy corn-feds were usually favored lit
packing circles as pititnp, nign grane
animals are always popular with the
holiday trade.
Matured muttons acted creditably front
start to finish, but there were times when
values were poorly tested, owing to
meager supply. Extra good wethers car-'
rvlnn a fairly large sort of fa sold un
as high an $4.10, and fat ewes ranged from
$:s.(l downward. Spread In ewea rernalned
very wide, cull and prime quality siock
selling fullv $1.00 apart. There were oniy
a few bends of yearlings on sale during1
the week and the trade held up In food
shape.
Conditions in the Teeder market were
about the same an usual. Country de.
mend proved active but limited, while
offerings were scarce. The week a pur
chase of feeders, according to packers
tabs, amounts to about 8.O0O head.
