CATTLiis There - was
run of cattle here for a Thursday, and
the total for ; the four , daya foots up
18,000 head, a falling off of over 8,00-)
head as compared with -tha same dava
laat year. The market aa a whole was iu
splendid condition as viewed from a sell
er'a standpoint. ',
Buyerg of beef steers were out In the
yards earlier than utuaV and were evi
dently anxious for desirable killers. The
result wag an active- trade, whh- prices

day, or a good 25c higher . than at the
close of laat week. A pretty good kind
of beef steera sold up to I7.j0, the beat
price paid go far thlrf month.
Fair to good -cows .wets, very active
sellers this morning, and at prices that
were a little higher again than yesterday
It would be a very conservative estimate
to quote the cow market aa 25c higher
than last werk'a close. Canners, as a
matter of course, did not-show as much
Improvement as the better grades. 1
Good feeders were-sought after today
the tame as they have been every day
this week, and prices were again strong
and higher' than last-week's olore. Tho
medium to .common .grades of Blockers
and feeders were fully steady. with yea.

For information regarding these bonds, reference is made to a letter
of Mr. John B. Miller. President of the Company, which brings forth the
following strong points of this investment:
On the basis of the present market of the Company's stocks,
there is an equity in the property of more than $8,000,000.
The management is in the hands of competent and successful
business men who give the Company's affairs their close per
sonal attention.
There are conservative restrictions of the trust deed as to
the issuance of escrow bonds, and payments to the Special
Trust Fund increase the security behind these bonds.
The Company serves a rapidly growing territory with a pop
ulation now in excess of 600,000 which includes the cities of
Los Angeles, Pasadena, Riverside, Redlands and many other
thriving towns in the vicinity, and, by developing most of its
power by water, is able to serve its customers at low rates and
operate at a very low cost.
WE RECOMMEND THESE BONDS FOR INVESTMENT
