anything answering that description

the other hand, the Inferior trash, of
which there ha been a great surplus this

The feeling that the supplies would be

SilEEP Les than a half dozen load:.

less finish and found a packing outlet
Ews and lambs that were native-bred
and corn-fed were the onty offerings of
consequence, and despite the fact that
three of the larger packer buyer took
no Interest In the run, pens were emn
tied early at strong to sharply higher
prices. . ino ner nue .sovance was mint
ante, lor tne reason that the market waa
almost too small to be recognized.
p.xtra good native lambs made a cred
(table top of tS.40 and fed ewes that wero
not very attractive reached to. 10. Some,
rather common lambs landed at 14.75 and
inferior ewes sold at 32.40, these sale)
constituting the entire trade
comsured with last week s close fat
iambs nro closing about ltwloo lower, an
excenalve supply at eastern points being
tne primary reaann ror cneapening coat
rat sneep, 11 anything, nave suffered
little more than fat lamb and are clos
mi i'Ktiioc and possibly ac off in some
instance. Proximity of Thanksgiving,
seafon or the year when poultry gets
the call on retail market, ia generally
credited with the additional weakness in
fat wethers, yearlings and ewea. Choleu
fat ewes would probably sell around 33.25
at present, while pr'me wethers would do
well to elicit a tl.50 bid.
Trade in feeder-during the week foiled
to ahow very much urgency, but the
trend to values on atrotig weights ttai
slightly higher at times, nd everything
cleared in good shape. Lambs weighing
over 55 pound are now selling around
t4.5.", one string selling at that figure
ycKterday. Purchase of feeder clussee on
country account for the week thus far
amount to only 22.W0 head.
