PORTSMOUTH WOMAN HURT
WHEN CARRIAGE TURNS OVER
LOGAN, la, Nov. 21. (Special.) Mr.
W. 3. Service sustained many bruises and
spinal Injuries as the result of a team
becemlnc frightened at the Reese auto
in . a Barrow road seven miles west of
Portsmouth yesterday afternoon. Vfhen
th team bad run, but a short distance th
tongue of the carriage came down and
struck tb frosen ground and broke. Th.
remaining portion caught In the frosen
ground and the carriage was consequently
lifted up and turned over. While Mr. and
Mrs. Service were caught in the wracked
carriage, th doubletrees broke and the
badly frightened and unmanageable team
most fortunately left the conveyance lit
the road. Mr. Reese stopped hi car and
after assisting Mr. and Mrs. Hervloe from
the wreck took Mrs. Service to her home
nearby. Mr. Service escaped Injury, not
withstanding th nature of the accident.'
