second annual running of the Indianap
olis speedway 600-mllo motoV race, on
Memorial day. May 30, 1312, the directors
of the speedway announced today. Tho
conditions also were made public and
entry blanks at once will be ent to
manufacturers.
The richest classic of the motoring
world will be open next year to cars of
not more than 600 cubic Inches piston dis
placement and of a minimum welsht of
2,000 pounds and minimum speed of seventy-five
miles an hour. The number of
starters will be limited to thirty. It Is
estimated that accessory manufacturers
will offer 920,000 In prizes. Ths 950.000
purse will be divided Into twelve prizes,
as follows:
First, 920,000; second, 910.000; third.
