The Omaha High school second team
opened the season Saturday afternoon by
losing a close and hard-fought game to
the Blair team by the score of t to 0.
The game was played on a heavy field
and, although Omaha waa outweighed,
they put up a stellar defense. "Bud"
Gould, right half of Omaha, was the
particular star of the game, breaking
away for two thirty-yard runs In the
first half. McFarland at right end also
played a etiff defensive game.
The first half ended mlth the soore 0
to 0, and It was not until the last few
minutes of the third quarter that Mles
ner, right half for Blalr, made a tblrty-five-yard

foot ball team, beat-the South Omaha
High school squad Saturday- by a score
of 10 to 0. Although the school team
put up a stiff gam the old stars of the
former high-school teams . succeeded . In
carrying the ball over the line for two
touchdowns.

alumni team regained the ball on a cross
