daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Alfred S. Matt
son, to Mr. Preseott Heald of Peoria, 111.,
was celebrated Friday evening at 8 80
o'cloek at the home ot the bride's parents,
1060 South Thirty-second street. The rooms
were attractive with a decoration of pink
and purple aster. The wedding march
waa played by Miss Henrietta Gilmore.

waa maid of honor and the bridesmaid

reception followed the ceremony for the

Anti-Sunday closing barbers, under the.
leadership of their attorney, Stanley Rose
water, have won a point in a test case in
which the defendant, a barber, was dis
missed. The case was that of a man who entered
tha Paxton shop on Sunday, August JO. and
was told by the barber that be would ba
shaved free on Sundays, but that the regu
lar price ot a tonic would be charged. The
patron was shaved and given a tonic for 13
centa, the price ot the tonic.

Among tha tourists going west through
Omaha today were Hamilton Holt and
wife, editor of ths New Tork Independent,
en route for Japan, where Mr. Holt goes
by invitation to deliver several addresses
on behalf of the movement for world
peace. Mr. Holt spent tha tlm between
trains renewing acquaintance with Victor
Rotewater. both having been membera of
the editorial party that toured Mexico last
fall aa guests of the Mexican government.
