Early load estimate was well up toward the 126-cur mark, but a fairly large portion of the run was late In showing up, tardy arrivals straggling in up to tl and 10 o'clock. The market was well cleared for action, however, as yes terday's close found only a few loads still In first hands. According to prickers' tab. the 43,000 total waa disposed of as fol lows: Twenty-seven thousand head ot feeders and in-between classes to country buyers and speculators: 12.300 head fat stock to packers, and 1.865 head recunslgned on eastern billing. The "through" loads were fat lambs, and the feeder purchase, amount ing to tu per cent of entire receipts, also consisted largely of lnmhs. Fresh offerings, fully 30,000 hesd In All. make a two days' total of almost 73.000 head, the largest separate and consecutive runs thus tsr this season. Sheep were more plentiful in tha new supply than on yesterday, hut lambs still predominated. Right around 60 per cent of arrivals were feeders. Bearish feeling existed In buying circles and was due directly to the fact that pack ers and feeder buyers have hardly had time to recover from yesterday's feast. In cer tain quarters the demand showed some little life, but quiet tone and keener dis crimination were the general features. Fat classes, both sheep and lambs, started out weak to around a dime lower with pros pects on close very sluggish. Fat lambs reached 10.28: a quotable limit, and fairly good handy wethers sold early at 13 30. Business In feeders ruled a little lower all along the line, thrifty lambs selling from 15.26 downward. Ewes sold largely undor 13.00 and feeder yearlings commanded figures almost Identical with fat vearllng prices. Movement from the start was draggy ln all branches of the trade.
