SCOBE IS TIED IN THE NINTH Mrmbfra of Pater Famllta Itenrke's Hnsefcola Play Aimtnst Odds la Friday's Com t rat, bat Mk Oood Showing. h I ! After having been handed blanks Hueston for eight Innings the Kourkes perked In the ninth Inning and tied a three run lead, only to loan the tame. In the tenth Inning Bachant batted for Hueiton, lamming out a two-bagger, and later scor ing on a sacrifice fly. Bens then held the Colts helpless until the close. It was a one-sided game all the way to the ninth Inning. The Gypsies came home with two runs In the second and another In the eighth. Hueston was In rare form and kept the home boys popping up little ones, And shooting down grounders, all of which proved harmless. Something la the air seemed to tell the fans there would be doings in the ninth and not one budged ' from his seat, ftehoonover got to first on ft passed ball on the third strike. Pick then gent a stinger down to Colltgan, who booted It all over the Infield, both men landing safely. Kneavea came to bat and hammered out a double, soorlng Bchoon over. Lynch followed with his third hit of the day, which was a single, and scored Pick. Williams was then sent In to bat for Ball and after having two strikes called on him sent a high sacrifice fly to Mattlck, and Kneavea came home with the deadlock score. Doing; la Tenth. The nomads by this time were In an ugly (ram of mind and began to do things. Ultowskl was an easy one to Kileavea in the tenth, Bachant was sent In to bat for Hueston and broke up the game with a long drive to left for two bags. 1 Curtis Sent a grounder to Kane, who fumbled, nd Bachant reached third safely. Colllgan ent a sacrifice fly to Thomaaon and Ba chant scored on the play. Omaha failed to core In tU half of the tenth. Schoonovsr, Sifter two men had gone out, sent the ball to left field fence, but was caught trying to stretch the hit Into a three-bagger. Until the eighth inning not an error had been made by either team, but strenuous action got the better of the players, pick dropped Hueaton'a high fly, after making ft long run for It The Des Moines team seemed to go all to pieces In the ninth inning, but came back strong in the tenth. The Hopefuls played a winning game all the way to the end and althouh they had the game won, fought like demons. The Kourkea also put up a stiff battle and fought an uphill game until the last man had gone out. It was their fighting that Ued the score In the ninth Inning. At the bat the boys did the best they could against Hueston's pitching. Lynch espe cially proved a Tartar to the Des Moines curler, making three hits In four times at bat Thomason played a Strong game in center field and took three hard chances and beat out two bunts at bat Kane took nineteen chances, making but on error.
