Poppleton avenue, was arrested Tuesday
morning for enticing 4-year-old Dorothy
Gordon to hi. room by offering candy.
Garamone met th. little Gordon girl and
mall boy by th. name of Samuel Thomas
on th. street and asked them to come to
his room and he would give them aome
candy. The two little tots went to the
room. Garamone then sent the boy home
and kept the girl in hi. room. The little
boy went, to Dorothy's mother and re
ported the matter to her, who summoned
the police. T)ie little girl was In the room
with Garamone when arrested.

from the roof of a sod shanty during a
high wind. Anderson, with hi. broth.r
Otto and a neighbor, Fred Dude, were
putting a board roof on the sod ahsanty
when ttiey observed a windstorm coming.
Otto Anderson and Dude hurried to the
former", house, on a olalm adjoining Al
fred Anderson'., and remained there dur
ing the storm, which was accompanied by
rain. When Alfred did not appear they
became worried and went to his house,
where they found him lying on the ground
by the roof of the shanty about forty-five
feet from the .tructure. Th.r. were only
light bruises on his pvson, but he had
evidently received Internal Injuries, for he
was dead. Anderson cam. to South Da
kota from Kansas last March, taking th.
