The new eectrlo pumps were run yesterday and the stand pipe In this city was filled to overflowing twice, so no more breaks are anticipated. Th Dakota Fanner, a publication printed at Aberdeen and having a wide circulation in ths Dakotas, has Just issued its second crop report for. the season of lull , baaed on reports from Its correniondentk through out tha two states. The roixirt contends that earlier reports concerning crop condi tions in the Dakotas greatly exaggerated tha drouth conditions prevalent In the two states, snying: "Misleading reports re garding the effects uf (he drouth and ex cessive heat In portions of our territory hav been widespread. Much damage hut resulted, without a doubt, but through the accuracy of our firsthand reports, direct from farmers themselves, we are apprised that conditions, even In our most dam eged sections, are far from being as de plorable as Is generally believed In the east. Ths fact that the drouth was most sever In sections where corn Is the prin cipal crop Is a matter to be considered. Over our greatest areas where wheat Is the leading crop, conditions sre good. Corn Is Immense from Pembina to Klk Point. No part of the state will harvest g normal crop of wheat, oats or barley,.1 while In some sections there will be a total failure.
