Governor of the State ot Nebraska, an ap
plication for the pardon of Charles Pum
phrey. who was sentenced to the penitenti
ary for life, by the District Court of Doug,
las County, Nebraska, on a conviction of
murder In the first degree, which sentence
was subsequently commuted by the Gov
ernor of the State of Nebraska, to seven
years in the penitentiary.
The said application for pardon will be
heard before the Governor and the Board
ot Pardon, at the penitentiary of the State
of Nebraska. Lincoln, Nebraska. on
Thursday. July 30, A. D. 1911, at the hour
of ten o'clock a. m. of said day, at which
time and place all parties Interested will
appear and show cause It any they have
why said pardon should not be granted.
