Wolgast is Anxious to
Meet Mr. McFarland
Lightweight Champion of Ring Works
Ijs Jaw in Chicago While Wait
ing for Train to Milwaukee.
CHICAGO, July 15. (Special Teleg-am.)-"Packey
McFarland may have a chance to
fight me any time he wants to," said
Lightweight Champion Ad Wolgast, who
amed hero from San Francisco today with J
Mrs. Wolgast. and continued to Milwaukee.
Wolgast seemed to be In a htppy frame
of mind. One of tbe first to greet him hert
was Msnager Thlry, who pilots the ring
destinies of McFarland.
"Tea. I'll fight Packey ten rounds at
Milwaukee at 133 pounds at 4 o'clock the
day of ths boxing contest, providing the
stock ysrds maa will post a 36.000 forfeit
for a twenty-round bout In San Francisco
within six months, weight to be 133 pounds
three hours and a half before ringside."
No ono could miss out on telling that
Wolgsst Is In grand condition.
One would gather from Wolgast's ' talf
that If Manager Tom Jones did not keep
the. stiff rein on him he would sign up with
psckey at catch weights, so confident Is
he that he can clean him up, as well as
sny of the fighters of his division.
Wolgast thinks his concession of .133
pounds, three and a half hours before
ringside, for a twenty-round fight. Is
liberal and has told Thlry that be means It.
"Packey saw fit to crawl out of a chance
to meet me when I offered my beat terms.
Now he can take up the Milwaukee tout,
with Its provision,-if he Is so eager to get
my game."
