ALL CSOP REPORTS FAVORABLE Kent Part wtta Reeeat Cowatry elllaar Coadltlone Per fect for pries; Wheat. OMAFVA. June . 1011. Temteraturea nver the winter wheat belt nre greatly modified, with a forecast for yet cooler weather and ehowere prenicivi. Conditions are unchanged In the north west and are as near perfect aa poaalble for the apring wheat crop. Holdera o wheat were heavy aellera on the Improved weather and crop situation, which gave the market a sharp reaction from high polnte. The shipping demand for corn has not kept pare with the recent country selling. The action of the market will depend largely on whether or not there Is a con tinuation of the country offerings. Crop reports are all very favorable to date. Improved weather and scattered showers reported over the winter wheat belt started lonps to taking profits and values eased off sharply. Cssh wheat sold He lower. The corn weakened .hh mieat and lib eral country selling owing to the cooler tempers lures. Cash corn was c lower. Prlmarv wheat receipts were 74.000 bush els and shipments were 14S bushels, against receipts last year of KB.OOO bushels and shipments of 362.000 bushels. Primary corn receipts were 1. 158,000 bush els and shipments were 721 000 bushels, aeainst receipts last year of 239.0f bushels and shipments of 1.242.noo bushels. Clearances were 70.000 bushels of corn, 3,700 bushels of oats and wheat and flour equal to 22S.O0O bushels. There was no Liverpool market. The ending of tha hot weather scare pulled support today out from under the wheat market. There was) sIho a growing-belief that th reciprocity bill would pass the senate. In consequence a decidedly weak feeling prevailed the greater part of the time, with the close ISo to lc lower than last night. The final gong left corn Ho to l'i<o down, oata off c and hog products were ex pensive by 6c to loc. There was evidently no attempt to sus tain the price of wheat. As a result the short sellers, although at first rather timid, Kained courage with every decline. Besides, the cooler weather and showers In the American winter wheat belt, tha drouth sections of Russia had a drenching. State ments that cutting was well started In Mis souri, with prospects of yields large, acted likewise in ravor ot the bear aide. The tone In the end was more easy than firm. During the session July ranged from Mc to 8-,;e, closing at 91HiCSlc, a net loaa of lG1Vic, Huge receipts and lack of storage room weakened corn. July fluctuated between M4C and 63!&64VaC, with the closing Vc off at 63Tsc. Cash grades were depressed. No. 2 yellow finished at 6464toc. Oats showed greater weakness, relatively, than other grain. Glowing reports from tne nortnwest were cmeiiy responsioie, together with reciprocity talk, and the fact that the southwest reported rain. High und low points for July were 87c and 3c and the close Tc down at 86c. with nogs in light supply, provisions ruled firm. The outcome was an advance all around 15c for pork, 7c to 12VM for lard and 60 to 10c for ribs. SMALL INTEREST IN SECURITIES Hesitation May Be Attributed to Some Extent to Desire to Await Forthcoming; Government Crop. Report. NEW TORK. June 6. A heavy tone characterised the stock market and trad ing we lifeless. The sagging tendency which developed yesterday still prevailed today and to an extent which suggested that the recent upward movement had ex pended Itself for the time at least. In financial aa well as In speculative circles, some disappointment Is expressed at the failure of the public to show greater Interest In the market for securi ties. It had been hoped that after the decisions In the antl-trust cases were msde known there would be a pronounced re vival In trading and for a time there were Indications that this change had taken Jilace. This demand, however, has fallen off abruptly. Prompted by knowledge of this condition, the short interest continued Its oneratlons for the decline but stocks were taken so resdily at concessions that the bears were exceedingly wary. the hesitation of the market may be attributed to some extent to a desire to await the forthcoming government crop report. I Securities of the American Tobacco com pany moved upward. The common stock, having declined 120 nolnts since the ren dition of the tobacco decision, recovered 24 Points on the "curb." onlv to lose tart of its gain. The preferred stock and the 4 per cent bonds also made gains. Amencsn telephone was strong In con nection with reports that French bankers will take a large block of this stock fol lowing listing of the Issue on the Paris bourse. Bonds were Irregular with some heavi ness In speculative Issues. Total sales, par value. 86.04H.000. Locally the total fur the two days foots up 7,9u, which Is a gain of about 2,600 head as com pared with the corresponding days of last week, but with that exception, tha lightest for soine weeks Beef steers were In good demand and prices were fully steady with some of the more desirable kinds selling a lltle stronger. W hile packers wsnted the cattle they were not willing to add anything to the price, and In consequence the trade was a little slow, but still the cattle kept selling and tha most of them were cleaned up in fair season. Good heavy cattle sold up to 86.06, Cows and heifers were In very light sup ply and as there was a good demand the market was fully steady, with here and there salesmen reporting that they secured prices that were as much as lOo higher tor such cattle aa found especial favor In buy ers' eyes. There were hardly enough feeders or stock cattle to cut any figure In the trade, but the feeling was just about steady with yesterday. This meana that prlcea are 6076c lower on the general run of atock ers than at the high time ten daya ago. Demand proved healthy from all quarters and move ment had a very fair degree of life at flgurea about a nickel higher. Bulk of a 176-car aupply changed hands at thla ad vance, all weights snowing equal Improve ments. Clearance at 11 o clock was prac tically complete. Reasons for stronger trend of values were found in the condition of other markets and the continued broad demand for the product. Business In pork and lard at present not only Involves domestic orders, but Is also sustained by an expanding for eign patronage, so that transactions are generally actual rather than speculative. Buyers for concerns at other slaughter points and speculative traders purchased fully 18 per cent of receipts, quality being emphasized and weight Ignored. Long strings ranged from 35.65 to 86.96 and best bacon animals on sale reached 36.06, a nickel above yesterday's high price. No. Av. In. Pr. No. Av. ga. ft. II lol DO I 7 44 2&1 ...
