O.H.S.TracMeam Expects to Win , the State Meet Team Leavei for Lincoln Confident of Getting- First Place in Field Meet. The high school track team and R, L. Carns, coach, left Friday morning for Lin coln for the state meet. Ten lads con stitute the squad which Omaha sends to Lincoln, to engage In the state meet Sat urday In competition with about twenty five other high schools of the state. Two weeks of hard practice on the school campus has wrougght a remarkable differ ence In tha standard of the squad and the lads hop to capture first place. ' j Tbe boys are In the finest condition and all are eager for the meet to commence. Omaha, In capturing second place In the Missouri valley meet last Saturday, Is al most certain of taking first place In this meet.. Unless teams from several of the small schools throughout the state have star sprinters and weight man Omaha will most likely win first place. Fully fifty of the seniors left with the team. May IS.-For the fourth time the Washington trophy, which carries with It the emblem of the cham pionship of the Woman's Whlxt league, was won today by the New Amsterdam club of New York at the fourteenth con gress of the league here. The Cavendish trophy was won by tha Women's club of Indianapolis and the Women's club of Cincinnati captured the Omaha cup. The Ioton trophy went to the New Amsterdam club of New York and the New Rochulle Whist club, which contested for It In combination. Mrs. C. S.
