the Rourkes will come back to Omaha to
play a series of six xsmes. They will
then leave for two davs and return for
two more gamea at home.
One week from Tuesday Is the date of
the next game at hime. rin that day the
Colts will oren a three-came series with
the Lincoln team. Three gamps will then
be played with the Wichita team. Imme
diately following the last game the
Omaha boya will Jump to Denver, where
two games will he played there. The team
will then Jump back to Omaha fr two
gamea with Topeka, and then leave for
thirteen days on the road, nn which trip
they will meet Lincoln, 1'enver, Topeka
and Wichita.
On Monday. May 2: the RiurKes will
have an off day, which ts Riven them for
travel. The team, however, win arrive
home on the I2d and take a much needed
rest.
With half of the present trip over, the
Rourkea have been plavlnx a loose sort of
ball, due probably to the Inability of the
placers to get together on team work.
The pitcl lng staff has not been able to
get goins, but Hourke Is now out after
new men for this branch of the line up,
and will In all probability have a couple
of new pitchers on his staff insl.le of two
weeks' time.
Two new men have been acquire! for
the field. Czar Neihoff, the heavy hittlnn
third aacker who was seen with the lies

went to Pittsburg and later to Indianap
olis, will Join the Rourkes at Topeka to
morrow morning.

bum knee, wiii be able to get out of the
game in favor of Neihoff. This move v 111

The Omaha fans have not given up
hope and attribute the numerous losses in
the trip to an early season slump. It Is
predicted by those who know that Omaha
will pick up on thfe second wins; of the
present trip and come back homi with a
place In the first division. Rourke Is

He has given all the youngsters who have
been on the sick list all the freedom they
needed, but haa not had enough men to
substitute in their place and unsatisfac

a slump with the exception of Lots, who
appear to ba right this year, and at the

ing staff. He pitched a remarkable game
at horn against Sioux City and held them
to two hit and no run in six Inning,
after Rhodes had been batted for four
hits and five runs In three innings. Thurs
day he made a great showing against th
Uncoln team, and It was hi pitching that
won th game. He, however, weakened
in th eighth Inning after holding tho team
