Mass., Nov. 19. A threat of death in the event of the officer of th Photo-Engravers union being given Jail sentence next Monday lor contempt of court, la tald to have been contained in letter received by on of th Justices of the Massachusetts superior court. The letter was mailed from Chicago and purported to be signed by a labor committee of that city. A special from Cal gary, Alberta, says: Mrs. Sammer has Just returned from Crooked lake, north of Prince Albert, and recite a pathetic story of the disappear ance of her husband and hia guide while she waited alone for eighteen days in the wilderness.
