Kiowa Indians, will preach at the morn
ing service at the First Baptist church.
His subject will be "The Story of the
Kiowa Mission." The missionary will have

preter. The communion of the Lord's sup
per will be observed at the close of the

Christ Centered."
The American Bible soolety has Just
added to IU interesting list of versions of
the scripture In the languages of the North
American Indians, a translation of the book
of Ueneala and the Gospel of Mark Into
the language of the Navajos. This Is tha
first publication of the translation of the
scriptures Into the tongue of these people.
The version has been prepared by the Rev.
Leonard P. Brink of Totatchi, New Mexico,
connected with the Southwest Indian con
ference, an Interdenominational mission
nt work In that region. There are said
to be 25,000 Navajoes In the United States,
and there are at present Baptist, Metho-
Ist, Presbyterian, Christian Reformed,
Gospel Union, and independent missions at
ork among them. These scriptures will
help In the education of the people and In
the formation of a Navajo literature.
