As is the case -every day of late ths Ar rivals consisted-almost entirely of range cattle with only a small sprinkling of natives kets have been gradually; working-lower for the last several days has created ' a weak feeling among local packers and they apparently had made up their minds thl morning to try to buy the cattla a little lower, uspeclally as the offerings of beet steers were very large. This naturally mads tha trade, a tittle slow and ths fore noon was well advanced before very, much business was transacted. When the trade was once under way there waa a fair movement and the better grade of both cornfeds and rangers sold at steady prices. The best cornfeds brought 17.76, the nigh prcs of the month to date. On ths other hand inferior kinds and in-between kinds were slow and some lower. All decent kinds of cows and heifers were steady and the trade in a good healthy condition. - Good feeders continued firm and the mar ket reasonably active. Th common light and trashy stockers were weak and slow sellers. HOGS-Most in the hog varda tilgher thai yesterday' average trade. Trading wag more or les uneven, however, and opinion differed to the extent ot the advance. Quite a few loads went to the scales at flgurea that looked no better than E10c higher, but scarcity of heavy hogs yesterday left the actual statu of the market open to question. Shipper bought freely from the start and while one of the larger packers proved a very poor buyer, a perfect clearance was made In very good season. Supplies were normal and asortment much better than yesterday. Heavy hogs moved around 18.108.15, with rough heavies at or near the $8.00 mark. Oood mixed or medium weight sold teadllv at t8.30if8.40, and lights Drought the high figures. A top of 18.70 was made, 10c higher than yesterday'a top. Hulk ranged from $8.10 to $8.40 as compared with yesterday' bulk of eS.004ie.25. No. Av. Bh. Pr. No. Av. n. Pr. 12 217 10 I 00 IM ... Inquiry. from all quarter wa broad, how ever, and as soon as the stuff oould be shaped up ready for sale, movement started in active rasnion.
