SAN FRANCISCO, Juno 23. Th dlsagre-

conference late tonight between Little and
attorney representing tho two men, Little
again become Johnson's official manager.
No figures were given out a to the
amount of the aettlnment, but It 1 said to
be very near the original claim of 141,000. 1
Bert Schlesslnger represented Little; W.
a Humphrey, attorney for Johnson, acted
for tho champion. The opening amenities
between the' two camps were In tho hand
of Alfred Meyerstein, who acted a arbi
trator. A notary publlo took down the
statements and agreement.
Tho overture ot peace and tho final
happy reconciliation wer not confined to
tho financial difficulties. Little dictated a
statement In which ho said he bore John
son no ill will and that be would stand
by the champion' interest at tho latter'

The meeting ended with warm protesta
tions of friendship on both sides.
Jeffries In Quarters.
RENO. Nov.. June 23. James J. Jeffries
is Installed In th training camp prepared
for him at Moana Springs, three mile
south of Reno.
Work on th arena for tho fight ha be
gun. Promoter Tex Hickara say no is
satisfied . the state authorities will make
no attempt to Interfere with tho battle.
Having failed to secure th use ot th
Jeffries-Johnson arena, promoter Sid Hea
ter has arranged to take out a license and
will build an arena ot his own to stage
the Langford-Ketchell contest hero on the
morning of July 4.
Jeffrie and hla trainer are safely
housed, but the now Quarter are so
crowded that only those connected with
the fighter's work ot preparation can be
with hira.' Jeffrie say ho 1 satisfied and
will remain at the place until th fight.
Trainer Well Pleased.
Corbett, Choynskl, and th other ot th
training crow expressed themselves a well
satisfied with the new camp. An espe
cially good point about Moana Springs, ac
cording to Trainer Cornell, is the platform
just behind Jeffries' cottago which will
be used for boxing. This platform when
covered with tho canvas used over the
Rowardennan ring will give ths big fellow
an opportunity ot boxing either In th sun
shine or the shade, as th sun shines di
rectly on it In th morning and hug oak
trees protect It during th afternoon.
Jeffries did not work today. After a
hot soda bath and a rub he busied him
self with hla luggage. Tomorrow mora-
ing, however, he will take to tho high
way for' a light Jaunt. Corbett ha ad
vised Jeff not to undertake th heavy
road work he wa In th habit of doing at
Ben Lomond.
No reply to the telegram sent Governor
Dickenson yesterday has been received by
Rickard.
The promoter expresses himself as cer
tain that no matter what pressure Is
brought to bear on Navada'a chief execu
tive, he will not interfere with the fight,
lllckard said today u tne tight wer
stopped In Nevada he would not try to
(tag it elsewhere.
'What 1 It they say about the "un

But, take it from me, there won't be
any trouble here."
Promoter Hester today wa ready to oall
off th Ketchel-Langford fight and roturn
to San Francisco. Tne Reno fight coin
mlttee refused to grant him the use of the
Jeffries-Johnson arena for a rival contest
previous to tho big fight. Hester later
received a telegram from O'Day, a Sao
Francisco promoter, and ho began to lay
plans for tho fight In an arena of his own
construction. Hestsr has arranged with tne
sheriff to take out a fight permit tor the
morning ot th Fourth.
It Is understood Reno business men op
pose Hester' plans for a double fight bill
on Independence day, because they fear
the visiting crowd will spend their time
watching the two ring attractions, and
consequently will have no opportunity to
patronise Reno' store and amusements.
