The First Crop of
Alfalfa
Is being harvested In the Scott's Rluff
country. Two more crops will be cut by
September 15. A good stand will net the
owner at least $25 per acre. You save the
nrst crop as easily as the third. Can you
do that in the corn belt?
Value of Corn Land
depends upon what It produces. Nebraska's
average corn crop in iw was 25(4 bushels
to the acre. At 60 cents Der bushel that
makes the gross receipts average $15.30 per
acre. This on lands selling at $,'5 to $125
per acre.
COMPARE THE ABOVE FIGURES
WITH ALFALFA IN THE SCOTT'S
BLUFF COUNTRY, where the NET IN
COME IS MORE THAN $25 PER ACRE.
Nebraska's Wheat
Average
for 1909 was 20.1 bushels to the acre. Out
In the Scott's Bluff Country It ranges from
35 to 45 bushels to the acre.
