PHELPS Alfred Wlllson. died Thursday
evening. May 6. at 8:30 o'clock at his
home, ZolS Hamilton St.. or paralysis and
old age, after an illness of two years, at
the age of 84 years. 1 months and 7 days.
He was born at Holland Landing. Canada,
February 2S, 1836. He came to Omaha in
1SC9 and was one of Omaha's pioneer
contractors.
Funeral will be private. Interment at
Forest Lawn cemetery. He Is surv.ved by
his widow, four daugnters. Mra. A. J. Van
Kuran. Mrs. J. K. Almy, Kate Phelpa and
Edith Phelpe, and three sons. Frank Phelpa,
Kied Phelpe. all of Omaha, and J. Walter
Phelps of Berkeley, Cal. Toronto end New
Market. Canada, papers please copy; also
