ported In. Thia makes the total for the
three daya less than half what It waa for
the corresponding day of last week, and
almost 4.i0 head lee than for the same
period a year ago.
Light receipt both here and elsewhere
baa put the market In a much better posi
tion. The feeling waa decidedly better this
morning, and It became apparent at. once
that buyer who hare been indifferent all
the week were at last In a position where
they really wanted fresh upplle of tok.
Tha result was an active market on beef
steer, with prices generally lc higher.
Every ona waa out In the yards early tn
the morning and the bulk of tne arrivals
cnanged nanda in a short time.
Cows and heifers followed very closely
after beef steers, being- In good demand
at stronger prices. Pretty much everything
in aight was aoon disDoaed of.
Receipt of stockers and feeder have
been so light this week that everything In
the hands of speculator has been cleaned
up and buyers were all anxious for catU
thl morning. Thua the maret wa active
and stronger all around.
