Will Be Held March 5 to Secure Employes for Work in Washington. Fred Johhson,' local secretary of' the United Stajt Civil Service commission, haa been notified by 1. M. Shoemaker of St. Paul, Minn., secretary of th Eighth civil service district, ' that a second ex amination of applicants for appointment ta positions In the national census bureau In Washington will be held In Council Bluff on-March i. Th first examination of applicants for appointment to such po sitions, wa hold October p. but failed to attract a sufficient number of applicants to fill the position to be assigned to Iowa. In his notice to Mr. Johnson, Sec retary Shoemaker says that eighty-seven appointment will be made from Iowa, while only sixty-two person took th Oc tober examination in thia state. Only three applicant wer examined in Coun cil Bluffs at that time. The second examination on Maroh 5 will be held at eight other point, in Iowa, aa follows: Ames, Burlington, Dea Moines, Dubuque.
