mal for a t riday, aomn
ported in. but In spite
les-s restrkaed outlet at the week-end and
the jvsultlng lassitude of demand, there
was a very fair inquiry for good kiii.li
of killers today and offerings changed
lia 11 1) s In very good season. Prices as a
general rule were fully steady with yes
terday on both sheep and lambs. A small
string of fed western lambs sold at tv .0.
i.e. highest price paid since the opening
of tho fed season. Fed western ewes
eallxtu In 30 and native ewes were good
enough to bring $5 60.
Aside from Monday s sharp advance in
prices, quotations have wavetexj right
around -steady on the four succeeding days.
In spots the market has shown both weak
ness and Ktrength at times, but the gen
eral situation ai present Is much the same
as It was at Monday's close. For the
eek, values are fully a quarter higher
on all grades of killing stork than a
week nao. The Inuulry tor good, fal ewes
and finished lambs has been especially
active,, out there have upon . very tew ue
suable light yearlings or fed
mo tig ofierings with which to
lops. The big bulk of yearlings
here lately has averaged pretty
ll pounds and extra good kinds of heavy
weights have readily sold around 86.75, but
in the absence of good light material.
It Is safe to uuote stock of this descrip
