GRINNELL, Dec. 22. (Special )
Grlunci; college, Is in the throea of a seri
ous and widespread agitation against the
modern college game of foot ball, and It
seems more than probable that definite
steps against the ffumo. In Its present form,
may be expected from the scarlet and
black camp. A hot discussion ha been In
progress for some time embracing students
and ail Interested in the Institution; the
college periodicals have been largely given
over to arguments by the faculty and
alumni, and on a number of occasions the
chapel services have been devoted to a
consideration of the Issue by the authori
ties. No official action has been reported as
yet by the student council, but It Is quite
likely that the situation may result In a
vote for tho substitution of soccer foot ball
or some other form of sport.

Iowa Seeking; Trainer.
IOWA CITY, la., Dec. 22 (Special )
Prof. Stephen H. Bush, seeretarv r h
Iowa board of control of athletics will leave
j L pena nis Holiday vacation
and because of this trip it is reported
.hat he will search for a trainer of the
university of Iowa track team next spring.
It is known that the board Is making
strenuous effort V secure a trainer so
that the work may start promptly with the
opening ul the second semester. William
t.. Dole, elected last summer, may possibly
be the choice of the board. He declined the
offer of the Iowa authorities before be
cause of a Dartmouth offer. However he
did not succeed in the eyes of the Dart
mouth alumni In keeping the eleven In
condition this fa.l, and as he Is recog
nized as a much better track coach than
foot ball trainer. It Is possible be may
be brought to Iowa by the athletic board's
secretary.
Owing to tho recent agitation the board
has also conducted the campaign for a di
rector of athletics with vigor. Though the
members will give out no statement as to
the progress of negotiation, several men
are on the string and It is expected that
a definite selection will be announced be
fore the second semester open February 7.

The number of entries In the city bowl

since the establishing of city tournament.
It look certain that all previous records
made In these meets will be broken, as
many of the bowlers are at this time in
excellent shape and have been getting
iiioi u pins than ever before. Two new
leagues have been started tnla year, with a
third Just organizing, and many bowlers
who heretofore felt a little backward In
entering a city event were the first to file
their applications, and no doubt some of
them will spring a surprise and get In on
the prize money.
Mayor Dahlman will be asked to roll the
first ball and sideboards will be put on
the alley to save the gutter.
Entries must be in not later than mid
night Friday. Just a day Is left for the
tardy to report. Bowling for the event will
start as soon as possible thereafter, prob
ably Sunday afternoon and not later than
Monday.
The Bt. Louis people are up and going,
boosting the mid-west meet. Entries from
cities In all directions from the muddy
city have been received and It looks like
the original estimate ot the managers as
to the number of entries' will be exceeded.
Omaha Is expected to put in a strong bid
for the 1911 meet.

for George these days.
Fat Moso Yousem gave his colts a sur
prise party last night. He didn't do a
thing but make the blind man's spare three
times In succession on the alleys last night.
Al Powell has developed a new hoolc
ball, it's working fine just at the present
time. Stick to it Al, that's all you need to
be a bowler.
Where was Carey last night. Had he
been around the team might have grabbed

Sure, that was Captain White, who led
his braves at Tucker's last night, high

advanced water boy
Harry Mitchell is around wanting to

See that long shadow there In the

who was leaning over and looking Intently

A man to whom the query was directed
(it was directed to many men) was unable
to notice anything unusual, when the
stranger passed round to the other side of
the aquailum and still Intently gazing Into
the water and pointing, Insisted:
"Why. why. yes, can't you see; It Is about
four feet long and must be a snake. I
wonder If It would bite me If I put my hand
In there."
Then he decided It was just

It was early In the day, too.
Will You Stand for Fraud
In Oysters?
Most ot the oysters which have been coming to t his City have bssit the cheapest, poorest grades.
Moreover, they were often highly adulterated through the addition of fresh water. Such oysters
ore only half oysters. They lack the true oyster flavor the delicious tang of the sea. There is
only one protection against inferior oysters: That is, by always getting your oysters from tho
white and blue porcelain Sealshipticase.
If you have been buying this
kind of oysters you simply don't
know what you have missed in
oysters all these years.
Some jobbers have been sup
plying dealers' with oysters that
were more than half water.
You have been paying oyster
prices for that water. And tho
oysters were soft and bloated.
A cheap and poor grade of
oysters has been coming to this
City.
We Have Revolutionized
Oyster Selling in This City.
Bealshlp Oysters has been introduced, which
reaches you ss fresh and fine as the day they left
the Atlantic coast. Oysters which are all solid
meat without water.
You can now get oysters unadulterated by
water.
And every dealer who wants to become a mem
ber of the Sealshlpt System can now get the gen
uine, original Sealshlpt Oysters.
Bo can restaurants and hotels.
"Sealshipt" Means Oyster
Insurance
Please bear In mind that tho Sealshlpt Oyster
System means oyster Insurance to you.
You are absolutely protected against watering
and mishandling.
The growers are members of the sealshlp Sys
tem. They are under rigid contract. So are the
dealers.
. 'rvtlv. t-rr

Benlshlpt Oysters all varieties are shucked
as they come from tho beds. Then they are
washed In pure water. The solid meats are Im
mediately pneked In sterilized, alr-tlght, steel
containers an sealed all at the seaside.
In transit these air-tight containers are Iced
from the outside. No Ice, no water ever touches
the oyster meats.
No flnvor, no goodness Is lost In shipment
When you ent Sealshlpt Oysters you get the same
sea flavor In Omaha that you would If you ate
them right out of the shell at the seashore. '
Sealshipt Oysters Are Not
Sold in Tins
Because ef their rtist superiority In freshness,
flavor and purity, people who once taste Seal
shlpt Oysters will never take any other.
So unscrupulous Jobbers have attempted to
take (Mvantage of this demand.
Soaked or floated oysters, with the surplus
water drained off, so the oysters appear fairly
solid, are put up In tin fnna. There are often
dishonestly offered as Sealshlpt Oysters.
Beware of this fraud. Genuine Sealshlp
Oysters are never packed, shipped or sold In tin
cans.
They are sold only from the clean and beauti
ful white and blue porcelain Sealshipticase.
This Sealshipticase bears the registered Seal
shlpt trade mark. Thus you can always make
sure whether you are getting the genuine 6eI
shlpt Oysters, the oysters that smack of the see.
Better Oysters for Omaha
Because of Sealshlpt competition all oyster
old In Omaha from now on will be of Improved
quality. But no others can compare In taste or
In food value with Sealshipt Oysters.
Sealshlpt Greenports, Blue Points, Oyster Bays,
Narragansette, Northports there are the cholo
est oysters the world inowi.
Sealshipt Price the Standard
of Oyster Value
We especially recommend Sealshlpt Oystora
form Northern beds, such as Greenports, North
ports, Blue Points, Oyster Bays and Narragan
setts. Unadulterated oysters from these localities
cannot be sold at retail for less than SO cents a
pint for Standards, small sizes. "A'hlle the largo
sizes, medium, select and counts sell for SS t
40 cents a pint.
As far as quality andflavor are concerned a
standard Is as good as a count.
Remember, the size of an oyster has nothing
to do with its flavor quality. Iarge oysters are
simply older oysters.
Below are the names of retail dealers In Omnha
who sell Sealshlpt Oysters. These are bona,
fide Sealshlpt Agent. .
More dealer are signing with us every day.
Your own dealer will Join the ranks as soon M
you ask him to. Later advertisements will aa
nounce the names of more dealers.
