This state of af fairs is due to the action of the late democratic legislature In amending the law providing for calling grand Juries and very likely there can be no more grand Juries called legally in Nebraska under tbe present law. Tbe amended law reads as follows: "Station 1 grand Jury). Unless other wise ordered in writirg by the court of a Judge thereof, a grand Jury shall be drawn andand summoned in tbe manner pro vided by law. on the first day of the first regular term of the district court of each county 1 r tha state. This section repealed section 584 o ft he ' criminal code of Nebraska, which provided a Jud-e of tbe district court could call a grand Jury at any time.
