John Svacma. who was arrested a week
or more ago, waa found guilty and sen
tenced to pay a fin of (10 and costs
Saturday morning for petit larceny. The
larceny complained of was the theft of
several bushels of wheat from a Rock
Island car In Albright The wheat was
found at the home of John Sracina by
the police officer after on of a number
of boys had told the police who was re
sponsible for the breaking of th car.
It was thought probable that a case
of breaking and entering the car would
be brought againat Svaciua. but on con
sidering the evidence It was decided that
the best that th state might hope to
prove waa a case of larceny.
Along with Svacina a number of other
persons were arrested for taking wheat.
The offenders were mostly boys and the
parent settled th case by paying for
the wheat taken.
