For some time the members of the Lutheran church have been working to raise the money to purchase a church bell, the first In Benson. Last Saturday, a week, It was placed In the belfry of the First Lutheran church and was sounded about 6 o'clock, this being the first church bell to ring in Benson. It was thought by some, at first, a fire had broken out. Last Sun day the bell was heard, as it will be here after, announcing the regular hours for services. The Board of Education met last Mon day evening, with all but one member present. Bills were presented and allowed. Prof. Speedle was given authority to re lieve the crowded condition of the schools. The Interior of the girls' toilet was or dered painted, repairs to boiler room made and a new flag Is to be purchased. Mr. Bon gave Mr. 8. Morrison's resignation, which was accepted.
