She enters behind her crown bearer, little Mary Louise Ulfford, carrying the new tiara dazzling with diamonds on a velvet pillow. Her train la carried by her two little pages, Floyd Smith and Oeorge Smith. Comes the ftneenl The hush of anticipation gives way to the clapping of hands as the queen, Miss Brownie Bess Baum, enters and Is recog nized by the thousands. Marching with stately tread down the hall she takes her place beside the king and receives from his hand the crown. The coronation gown worn by the queen was of soft white satin cut princess, decollette and with court train cut round. Over this was a tunic of exquisite crystal lace richly, embroidered In a conventional leaf design and studded wljfh pearls and edged with a double row of crystal fringe. The overdress showed between the panels draped In pnriler effect, and at the edges of the back panel was tied a sash of white chiffon. The dainty short sleeves were of tulle embroidered with pearls and crystals and edged with crystal fringe. The coronatjos robes that have done serv ice (or other queens were replaced by a new robe of pale blue velvet bordered with gold embroidery and edged with ermine. This was held In place with ropes of pearls. The necklace of festooned ropes of pearls that has adorned the necks of all the queens of Ak-Sar-Bcn was the only royal Jewel worn. The tiara was new and was composed of brilliants arranged In a semi wreath with clusters of sparkling Jewel at the front. 1 Hewatars Pledge Fealty. The ceremony of coronation over, the governors, each with a princess on his arm, ascend the dais and bow their respects to their majesties. The trumpeters sound an other call and the people strain their eyes to see what new surprise Is awaiting them. From all parts of the hall army officers glittering with gold lace, assemble In the center of the floor and led by the chief knlght-at-arms, General Morton, they march to the throne. Taking the hand of the queen they all pay their respects 'and then descend to the dancing floor each with i ne of the ladles of the court for the graul march. As the orchestra changes from the grand march to the swinging waltz the dancing floor In alive with couples. The urand ball In honor of King Ak-Sar-Ben XV and his royal consort has begun. On with the Dance I The scene of pompous ceremony becomes one of brilliant and buoyant gaiety. Dancing couples under the bright blaze of lights make a spectacle to rejoice the heart of the monarch, whose greatest pleas ure Is found In witnessing the Joy of his subjects. The beauty of the ball scene was en hanced by ths pretence of hundreds of officers in the dress uniform of blue and gold lace. These gave a touch of color which heightened the effect made by the usual black of tho civilian's dress suit. Among the public officials from out of the city were Governor Ashton C. Fhal- 1 Icnberger and Senator K. J. Burkett who I occupied a box. i . SZ 1 Princesses, Ladles In Waiting;, Maids of Honor and Ladles of the Court.
