"That Is all; you may go now." "Yes. mum." As Mia. Bruce crawled back into bed she chuckled, an inhuman chuckle. She was trying to Imagine Mr. Bruce doing the stable work and rubbing down the horses This went on for several weeks; but one day Mrs. Bruce could stand It no longer, so she went over to tell Mrs. Cook about it! Now Mrs. Cook took "The Omaha Dally Bee." so she promptly advised Mra. Bruce to. She (Mrs. Cook) said, 'They always seem to have advertlsedments about just the things you want." That night Mrs. Bruce told Mr. Bruce, and the next morning he bought a paper. The first thing that caught his eye was the'' above advertisement. He hurried to his office and 'phoned the young man. "Tha great Swedish worklngmtn's strike, which was lost, as, of course, everybody knows, was remarkable for the absence of violence," said Rev. Adolph Hult. pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran church, who has Just returned from a European tour. "This was attributed to the fact that as soon as It became apparent the strike was to come the king Issued an order against the sale of liquors. In Europe, unlike some portions of tha United States, they enforce the laws. It was decidedly a dry strike. I was in Sweden when it was at Its height." Mr. Hult, accompanied by Mrs. Hult. de parted on their trip abroad on May 9. They visited points of historical Interest In all of the principal European countries, mak ing a circuit south to Italy from Lom'on. "We found Rome of perhaps the greatest interest," said Mr. Hult. FIND PASSES IN MAIL BOX Brown's In Town and Probably Had His Peekets Picked While at Visitor Here. J. ti. Brown, ticket agent for some road at Salt Lake City, was In Omaha, accom panied by his wife. Mr. Brown Is a rai road man. as Is shown by a bunch of rail road passes now in the po.-..iKion of Post- I master Thorns, bearing Mr. Brown's name. These passes were found with Mr. Brown's wallet in a mailbox at Fourt.-enth and Dodge streets by a letter carrier. It ia hardly probable Mr. Brown would have undertaken to mall the passes unaddressed to himself, or that he would have de posited them In a mailbox, so the pre sumption is Mr. Brown had his pockets picked and the thief, finding no practical use for the passes In the passless state of Nebraska, passed them over to the post office department.
