Smaller world' shipment than wera ex

ooosted wheat values again loony. Tne
northwest spring wheal movement liaa
begun In earnest, but Blocks do not seem
to be accumulating and prices ars workUig
steadily higher.
Traders seem to be regarding the corn
market dltterontly every day, prices ars
up on day and down the next, resulting
only In a scalping affair. The cou.itry
dealers continue to be good sutler on ail
bulges. .... ,i
Wheat was well purported By good buy
ers early and an advance was scored.
Northwestern receipts- ars heavy and
should weigh -down price, but the present
demand a. id light world shipments are
tending to hold price up.
Corn was firm and held strong with the
strength In. wlnat. Country selling has
been liberal during ths past few days on
all the bulges and ' Weather Condition
have beea rather bearish. It looks like an
Baxter market .for tue time being.

NEW YORK STOCKS AND BONDS
Market Narrows to Professional Bat
and Price Morement it Heavy.
HEAVY DRAIN BY CASH ON BANKS
Demands at Western Houses and Bab
Treaanry Makes Restriction of
Credits Itereawrr aad Halts
Indentation,
NEW YORK, Sept. 14 Th stock mar
ket narrowed to a professional rut today.
Efforts were made to keep speculative
Interest alive by concentrating operations
In one or two of the uual speculative
favorites and a few novelties, but the re
sponse of the general list was languid.
Th tendency of prices to retrace their
course wss another siitniflcanat predom
inance of professionl traders' transactions.
The hardening of the money market Is a
natural check on free speculation. While
tanking opinion does not look for any
stringency this fall, the position of the
New York banking reserve shows that a
restriction of credits Is Imperative to con
form to the heavy drain now making on
the cash holdings of ths banks. The ft. 344.
000 withdrswn from the bsnks by sub
treasury operations since the last weekly
bank statement was msds up compares
with sn sctual surplus reserve s,t that
lima of less than 14,000,000. Tho Interior
has continued to draw on New York In
ths meantime In addition to the sub-treasury
requirements. A rise In New York
exchange at Chicago today has resulted
from the firmer money rates her. The
shifting of losns employed tnth specu
lative holdings of stocks to other lenders
than the banks seems to be Indicated by
th course of events. Th unusual re
course is to foreign money markets at
this tlms of ths yr, but th money
msrket In New York Is sxtended already
to an enormous extent on that side. State
ments ot American banking Indebtedness
abroad have pointed to a flaure as high
as SMO.OOO.OOO. The low level of the
merchandise export for many months
past ' and which still persists has com
bined with very large exports to leave th
International exchange market without
th usual material for covering foreign re
mittances. The newly developed Russian
demand for gold In the London market
also projects a new element Into ths
prollem, unusually benvy grain exports
from Russia being advanced for explana
tion. In the horn financial markets, the
Investment appetite for securities has been
the occasion of complaint by bankers and
syndicates and various projected new Is
sues have been delayed. In soma of these
a lain foreign participation was expected
which has been relied on to meet a part
of the maturing Indebtedness of New
York's foreign money markets. Bank
loans throughout the country are known
to be very heavily extended, how much so
th compilation of reports of national
banks now making to the comptroller Is
awaited to show. With the season at
hand when the normal requirements of
the Interior make requisition upon New
York for tens of millions of dollars, the
outlook does not Invite to undue exten
sion of liabilities for holding seourltles on.
The banks to day are Inclined to advance
the rate for call loan rates In concert and
the making of a 3 per cent rata by one or
two of the largest Institutions made an
example that was generally followed with
as high a rate as has been touched at any
time since th early part of 1908. when
money plethora was setting In after the
suhsldenoe ot the panto of 1907.
The stock market was strong In spit of
the money market' situation, which was re
flected In tha dullness of the speculation
rather than In pressure to sell.
The speculation In Reading was
animated and was coupled with
rumors of coming favorable dividend
kctlon following th return of the presi
dent of the company from abroad. The
Harrlman Pacifies moved upward again
In compliance with varying reports of th
future plans of the successors to that
financier's power. The strength of the
coppers wss sttributed In London to spec
ulative covering operations. It was ac
companied by a rise In th electrical
equipment company shares. The allied
railroads In the southern territory rose In
concert In response to dividend rumors.
The day's market was made up of such
Intermittent movements. At the' end of
tho day gains wre only partly held.

ROUS While a few hogs sold early at
prices that are very Utile, If any, higher,
the general market was strnng and In
many cases 6c higher than yesterday. More
than that, It wss active at ths advance, so
that everything In sight was sold by 10
o'clock In the morning. A considerable
proportion of all the hogs brought 87.90iy
8.05 and on up as high as 88.20 for good
lightweights. It will be noted that the dif
ferent kinds snd weights of hogs are sell
ing closer together than was the esse a
little while sgo. Thus ohoice heavy hogs
w-elghlng 300 pounds or better sold up to
38 today. Mixed hogs and heavy hogs of
all kinds have been gradually working up
closer to lightweights.

SHEEP Although receipts of sheep yes
terday were the largest of -the season up
to that tim. 22,784 head being 'eporled In,
still tha run did not appear to oe any too
large to meat th requirements of buyers,
so that everything was cleaned up before
th clos of th market More than that,
tha pricea paid were steady. This morning
there was a still larger run, msklng ths
total for ths two days over 66,000 head.
Conditions this morning wer rather
against ths selling Interests. Advices
from other selling points wers not at all
encouraging, while th fact that fat lambs
have been selling right close up to Chicago
E rices at this point mad buyers still more
earish In their views. This, together with
the further fact that th big bulk of th
receipts consisted of Iambs, gavs buyers an
opportunity to puond values to the extent
of 1015o as compared with yesterday. 6U1I
ths market Was by no means In bad shape,
buyers evidently wanting supplies, and
even after the decline prices were still vary
good as compared with eastern markets.
As th supply of fat sheep waa rather
moderat prices on the better kinds, such
as buyers wanted, did not show muoli
change. Still there was a weaksr feeling
and heavy yearlings were decidedly lower.
The attendance of feeder buyers was
larg again today, so that supplies changed
hands as rapidly as could be expected
when stuff was onoe shaped up and ready
for sale. Still the weakness shown in fat
lamba had Its influeno in th feeder
division and buyers were Inclined to pinch
off a little her and there whenever pos
sible. Quotations on fat sheep and lambs:

Many people of advanced years 8 re la
poor health, suffering pain and misery, -who
think that disease ts ons of the un

That 'this Is not true, and that old age

wonderful cures In old chronlo diseases of

A cas In point which proves that health
snd happiness are possible In advanced,

I ate caused me distress and failed to
nourish my body and I bcam so weak
that It waa with th greatest difficulty that
I got to their offlc for examination oa
the tth of March of this present year. They
told pi what caused th troubl and that
I could b cured. I believed what they
told me and Immediately placed my case
In their hands for treatment, which I
have contlnuad up to two weeks ago, when
they decided that further treatment for
me was unnecessary as I feel, and am,
well.
Previous to taking their treatment very;
time I would eat anything I would bloat
and have such distress In my stomach and
bowels that I had no rest or relief for hours
at a lime. I can, and do, cheerfully endorss
and recommend the specialists In troubles
of th nature of which I suffered all ths
years named above, a I had used various
and divers treatments without any material
benefit therefrom until I went under their
