Councilman Berka Introduced In last
night's meeting of the city council a reso
lution to this effect. The resolution waa
passed and goes to the mayor for his sig
nature The date for the proposed confer
ence Is' not set.
The councilman's Idea Is to get the views
of all concerned, to point out the benefits
to all to be derived from consolidation and
to Inaugurate a movement that will win
at the polls.
Ordinances were Introduced to require the
street car company to provide slip rails
for use In times' of fvre; to require mes
senger service coiupanlui to take out li
censes and provide Indemnifying bonds, and
calling upon the Board of Park Commis
sioners to recommends u suitable place for
