Bill Clovej Overhauled Bill Clovey, a
convict who escaped from the Nebraska
penitentiary a few weeks ago, was cap
tured by the Omaha police Monday and will
be returned to Lincoln this week. Clovey
was sent up from South Omaha a short
time ago for burglary. I
Omaha Printing Company fire toss
The losses from the fire at the Omaha
Printing company have been adjusted and
were found to amount to $35,000. The big
presses were so damaged by falling through
the burned floor into the basement that
they will be replaced by new presses.
Kerbs Are Wanted The police are try
ing to locate Mr. and Mrs. Charles Herb
of Pittsburg, Pa., aa Mrs. Herb's mother
Is seriously ill at her home in Plitsburg.
A few days ago Mr. Herb was registered
al the Murray, and it is supposed that from
there he went to some private boarding
house In this city.
Three Boblnsons It was a hard day for
the Robinsons. Three of them landed In
J..11 for being disorderly and all received
Jail sentences. They bore the names of
Allle, Perry and Harry. They came to
Omaha only three days ago from the south.
Allie drew thirty days, Terry gol ninety
and Harry took sixty.

come by the heat shortly after noon at the
Union station. He was removed to Bl

bile club for pi-lies given by the mer
chants ot Omaha will start this
morning at 6.30 in front of the Kimball
garage on Farnam street. Tho run will be
from (. ma ha to Columbus, to Grand Isl
and, to Hastings, where a slop will be
innde fur the night. Upturning the cars
will run from Hastings 1 1 Fairmont, to
Crete, to Lincoln, to Louisvlile and to
Omaha. The pilot car to distribute the

motor car in the market. Sioux City is

Further argument of the habeas corpus
proceedings brought In behalf of Ralph
C. Urban, on whom extradition papers Is
sued in Colorado were honored by the gov
ernor of Nebraska, has been postponed
until this morning. Attorneys nrgtied
the caso all Monday ufternoon and
Tusday morning, Shotwell & Shntwell and
John O. Yels.r, attorneys for Urban, com
pleting their examination of witnesses
bhortly beforo noin. Thomas A. Ilolllstfr,
attorney for the C. F. Adams company, the
complainant, has so far Introduced one wit
ness, E. J. Ilutslnpllier of Denver, repre
sentative of the Adams company.
Urban was frwmerly In the employ of the
Adams company In Denver. He came to
Omaha a short time ago and entered the
employ of the local house of the Adams
company. Shortly after coming to this
city he was arrested on complaint of the
Denver house for embezzlement, but after
three days In Jail the case was dismissed.
Urban then brought suit against the com-'
pany for $10,000 for false Imprisonment.
Shortly thereafter he whs rearrested on
complaint of the Denver officers of the
Adams company for forgery. The governor
of Nebraska honored requisition papeis
Issued by the governor of Colorado, and
the habeas corpus proceedings were brought
to resist extradition.
