More Barns for Fair. The executive committee of tbe Beard of Directors of the Department of Agri culture today derided to erect at once before the opening of the fair enough per manent barns to care for all the stork that has been entered for the fair. Th fair opens August 27, which leaves but sixteen-days remaining In which to rect , the barns - Last year the directors erected one permanent barn In sixteen days, but this year thry wl'l erect several. The two biiik, horse barns cn the grounds now were so erected that the spare be tween them could be roofed over and this will be done and the two ends bricked up, making one additional barn. This, how ever, will not be sufficient. There will have to be erected one additional com plete brick horse barn and probably tw-o cow barns before all the stock la pro vided for. No Threshers at Fair. . There will be no threshing machinery at the state fair this year. For many years the threshing machinery manufacturers have gotten together and agreed solemnly that they will rot make an exhibition at any state or county fair. As regularly seme dealer would engage space and then all would be forced to exhibit. This year the thresher manufacturer hav tlu things up fast and there will be no exhibits at any slate fair. Other lines of goods manu factured by the concuns will be shown, however. The objection to showing th threshing separators and engines is that they ate such heavy n aehlnery that the expense of the exhibit la enormous. Quarantine Lifted.
