Knormoa Receipts of Wheat Cause
Farther Slum In Market.
CHICAGO,. July 26. Enormous receipt
of new wheat here and In the southwest
caused a atlll further deotlne In wheat
prlcee on the Board of Trade today; July
dropping to $1.06V and September to $1.03,
loeses et 2c and l'-fec, reepectlvely, com
pared with Saturday dote. ' The market
closed weak, at net declines of 14lHc.
Corn, oata and provisions were also weak.
Weakness bordering on demoralisation
prevailed In the wheat pit during the great
part of the day, and me marKei waa suo
leeted to a areat amount of atop loss sell
ing and renewed profit taking by minor
hnldors There waa a fair bulge following
an opening decline of VS'Hc to T4c ,n
to covering by short, prompted py an
official forecaat for unaettled weather in
sections of the winter wheat belt for to
morrow, but the advance only aerved to
brine out additional aalea, resulting in
still greater weakness.
The primary cause of the selling prea
atira waa tha extremely liberal recelpta of
new -wheat at Kansas City. Arrivals here
odav were BU) car loads, while at th" two
southwestern centera more than 1 00 000
bushels were received. Talk of recelpta
here tomorrow of more than l.oou carload
waa one of the depressing factora during
the last half of the day. The market was
also weakened by lower cable and cool
weather In the northwest.
During the day July eold between $t.0r.V
and fl 08, and September between I1.03T4
and II 061.
Ralna In Iowa, Missouri, Kansa and
other eeotlona of the corn belt removed
all anxiety concerning the new crop and
Inspired general selling of that cereal,
which resulted In declines bf from lTtC to
iSc. compared with 8atuley'a close. The
market closed extremely weak near the
loweat point of the day at net decline of
l1mo to lHo.
The alump In wheat and corn, a decline
of He to lc in the price of the cash
grain, and predloUone of greatly Increased
recelpta within a few daya caused weak
nesa In th oata market. The close waa
weak at decline of o to lHo.
